The new Airgas, Appleton facility required many different occupancy types,
ranging from B-Business to Group H-2 Hazardous, be housed in one building. Additionally, the building code allowed for storage of only a fraction of the amount of flammables and oxidizing gases that Airgas needs to store and handle. To overcome the challenges, CCC, along with Airgas and our subcontractors, worked as a team to successfully design a building that would allow for efficient workflow of Airgas' processes and systems and which allowed them to maintain the volumes of hazardous materials they need to operate their business.
