Tanger Outlet Mall features logs hewn from virgin Canadian forest and 273,000 square feet of retail space. Above the mall's 75,000 square feet of pedestrian space a continuous canopy allows light and air in. The $24.2 million mall was completed in a phenomenal 10-months, but it was not spared craftsmanship. Kraemer Brothers' carpenters gave each facade of the mall's 60 retail spaces received varied combinations of lap siding, shake shingles, tongue and groove boards, stain, overhangs and roofs, and direction of siding. Kraemer Brothers' masons installed 30,000 square feet of cultured stone and constructed decorative screenwalls around the perimeter of the mall using concrete blocks.
