The innovations
continue ...
A
company whose approach to building homes focuses on green construction.
Judges
developing equity in charging defendants in Milwaukee and surrounding communities.
A
consultant dedicated to helping place minorities and women in management positions
within construction-related companies.
Law
firms forming unique alliances to help their business clients make the most of
the emerging market in China.
A
job-training, education and placement program for at-risk young adults in the
Greater Milwaukee area.
The
editors of The Daily Reporter and the Wisconsin Law Journal once again had no
trouble finding people, businesses and industries in Wisconsin who think outside
the box. As we present our second annual Innovator of the Year, we're happy to
report that the light bulb of innovation still burns brightly in our state.
As
you'll read in the pages of this special publication, our honorees for Innovator
of the Year each demonstrated not only imagination and vision, but the stamina
to turn their innovation into reality. They created new products, services, programs
or ways of working together that have had positive effects on their businesses,
industries or communities.
We
know you'll find their stories interesting and inspirational. We congratulate
and thank them for their work.
We
also thank all of the nominators, those who came forward to tell us about these
innovators. The 2003 Innovator of the Year has received great support from a diverse
collection of business, construction and law associations, along with a variety
of Wisconsin businesses. By doing so, they support not only these awards, but
the spirit of innovation in Wisconsin.
