Builders Inc. won a 2007 Build Wisconsin Award from the
Associated General Contractors of Wisconsin for the construction
of Tri-Norths new corporate headquarters in Fitchburg. Vogel
Bros. Building Co., Madison, won a 2007 Build Wisconsin
Award for the companys work on the Oakwood Village West
Heritage Oaks project in Madison.
Miron
Construction Co. Inc., Neenah, won the Big Diverter Award
in demolition from WasteCap Wisconsin for the contractors
removal of three residence halls on the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater
campus. Miron also won the Best of the Best Award from Best Western
International for Mirons design and construction of the Best
Western Bridgewood Resort Hotel & Conference Center in Neenah.
Miron also won two Golden Trowel awards from the International Masonry
Institute for the companys work on the Universityof Wisconsin-Madison
mechanical engineering building and the UW-Madison Biotechnology
Center.
The late Robert L. Herman of Herman Landscape
Service, Madison, was inducted into the Wisconsin Green Industry
Federations Hall of Fame for his involvement with WGIF and
the landscaping industry.
The Milwaukee Chapter of the National
Association of the Remodeling Industry honored six of its members
with a Presidents Award for their work on behalf of the association.
The winners were: Mark Brick of B&E General Contractors,
Glendale; Mike Heuser of Kelmann Corp., Wauwatosa; Tom
Kammerait of von Briesen & Roper SC, Milwaukee; Paul

of Distinction Merit Award from the Associated Builders and Contractors

the Association of Licensed Architects for the firms design
of the Tri-North Builders Inc. headquarters in Fitchburg and a Silver
Award in the commercial category for its design of the J.H. Findorff
& Son Inc. offices in Milwaukee. Plunkett Raysich also won a
Wisconsin Golden Trowel Award Honorable Mention from the International
Masonry Institute for the firms design of the West Side Community
Service Building in Sun Prairie.
