Kurt D. Boson
Kurt D. Boson is the co-owner, vice president and secretary of The Boson
Company Inc., Marshfield. He started working with the contractor in 1985
after earning a bachelors degree from Arizona State University.
Boson, 45, represents the third generation of leadership in the company,
which was started by his grandfather in 1932. But construction represents
only a portion of Bosons life.
He lives in Marshfield and is married to Ann with two child-ren, 16-year-old
Alex and 10-year-old Tanner. And its in Marshfield that hes
cast a wide net of community service with involvement in the Marshfield
Clinic Research Foundation, the Ronald McDonald House of Marshfield, the
Kiwanis Club of Marshfield, Marshfield Tennis NOW!, Marshfield Area Youth
Football and the Kiwanis Youth Basketball League.
Its a safe bet that Boson doesnt find himself with much idle
time. But even the industrys busiest people have a hard time refusing
the call of Wisconsin Builders Burning Questions.

Apprehensive. My son turns 16 and gets his drivers license
this week. Its exciting but scary.
How would your mother describe you in one word?
Fun and caring
its a tie. I asked her.
What is your greatest extravagance?
I always wanted a convertible, so that would have to be it. Or

I once had an assessor at my home who asked how he could get upstairs
to look around. I live in a single-story house with a vaulted ceiling.
What word do you wish you had invented?
Terrifficate. One of my kids came up with it by mistake,
and we all use it around the house now.
How would you like to die?
In my sleep. If I was awake, Id be worried about all the
things I wasnt going to get done the next day.
Whats the first quote that comes to your mind?
Whatever you are, be a good one, Abraham Lincoln. Oh
yeah, and Freeze gopher! I saw Caddyshack on TV
this weekend, so Ive got that going for me.
What profession would you not like to attempt?
Carney. I hate rides.
What do you miss most about your childhood?
Playing. I think adults simply forget how to play.

My temper.
On what occasion do you lie?
Next question.
What smell do you love?
Coppertone suntan lotion. It smells like vacation.
What sound do you hate?
People clipping their fingernails.
Finish this sentence: Happiness is a thing called ...
Kids. Roll down the window some time when you pass a school playground
and just listen to how happy they sound.
