Chellee Siewart isn’t new to the Metropolitan Builders Association in Waukesha.

But, since April, she’s been in a new position.

A transition committee recently selected her to replace Matt Moroney as executive director of the nonprofit organization from a pool of 54 candidates gathered after a nationwide search.

Siewert joined the MBA in 2004 as chief operating officer.

Since then, the MBA grew to the nation’s 14th largest home builders association. The nonprofit represents about 1,500 companies in the building industry, according to a news release.

Siewert also expanded the organization’s marketing and public relations efforts by launching a consumer magazine, a radio show and a searchable Web site.

Prior to working with the MBA, Siewert worked for the Wisconsin Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and Rogers Memorial Hospital.

Wisconsin Builder’s Burning Questions wanted to know a little bit more about the new leader of the state’s loudest advocate for home builders. We have questions to ask, and this month, Siewert answered them.
